Research background

With the continuous elevation of national water quality monitoring and environmental governance standards, users have placed greater demands on the stability of water analysis equipment and the efficiency of service delivery. Hach Water Analysis Instruments (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. places significant emphasis on post-sales service quality, particularly in cases where equipment malfunctions or anomalies occur—users expect rapid response, clear diagnosis, and efficient repair. To continuously enhance the customer experience, improve user satisfaction, and strengthen brand loyalty, the company has decided to systematically conduct a post-sales service satisfaction survey to identify weaknesses and areas for improvement in the service process, providing data-driven insights and direction for future service system optimization.

Research scope

Starting in April 2025, CEIDEA Research was commissioned by Hach Water Analysis Instruments (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. to conduct a one-year post-sales service satisfaction survey. The study employed a telephone survey approach, implemented monthly by professional researchers using standardized interview scripts and questionnaires to conduct individual follow-ups with clients who had completed post-sales service in the current month. Survey content covered multiple key dimensions, including whether the instrument is currently operating normally, overall service satisfaction scores, points of dissatisfaction during the service process, whether engineers contacted clients in advance to communicate service details, whether clients received all necessary information over the phone, the handling method for faulty units, and whether engineers brought and replaced spare parts. Standardized data templates were used to collect detailed background information such as service contact person, service type, fault description, repair records, and warranty status. Actual repair cases were categorized and analyzed to identify customer feedback. The study covered a nationwide client base, aiming to provide continuous tracking and analysis to guide the company toward service quality improvements and enhanced user experience optimization.

Expected outcomes

This study is expected to fully quantify customer satisfaction levels and key influencing factors regarding post-sales service, helping Hach identify pain points and communication gaps in the service process, and further enhance the professionalism and standardization of engineer-led services. Through systematic evaluation of service transparency, spare parts response efficiency, and user experience satisfaction, the research findings will provide precise guidance for optimizing service workflows, improving technical support capabilities, and formulating customer management strategies. Ultimately, this will strengthen customer trust and brand loyalty, promote a shift from reactive to proactive service models, and enable efficient customer value management and sustainable business growth.
