Research background
With the continuous rise in employment environment demands and employers' expectations for skill-based talent, the college urgently needs to establish a scientific graduate employment quality tracking mechanism to comprehensively monitor graduate internship and employment dynamics. This study aims to comprehensively evaluate the current employment status, career development, and job adaptability of Xi'an Medical College graduates, providing data support for continuous optimization of teaching systems and improvements in talent cultivation quality. By collecting feedback from employers on indicators such as professional skills and occupational competence, the research also offers reference for curriculum design and professional restructuring.
Research scope
In August 2017, CEIDEA Research was commissioned by Xi'an Medical College to conduct an employment status survey among graduates from the past two years, using telephone follow-ups and email questionnaires. The survey covers multiple dimensions, including job type, employment stability, industry sector, geographic distribution, relevance between work content and academic major, internship experience feedback, job adaptation, and intentions for further education. Additionally, in-depth interviews were conducted with a selection of graduates' employers to assess their evaluations of graduates, overall quality, professional alignment, and job performance capabilities. The study aims to establish a comprehensive graduate tracking system and build a routine data feedback mechanism.
Expected outcomes
The research findings will provide strong evidence for Xi'an Medical College to optimize its talent cultivation programs, adjust major offerings, and enhance the alignment between course content and market needs. By continuously monitoring graduate employment quality, the college will gain precise insights into the market's demand for medical talent, promote the optimization of internship and employment linkage mechanisms, strengthen students' vocational skill training, and enhance their overall employability. Ultimately, the initiative will achieve a win-win outcome among improved teaching quality, smooth career development for students, and increased satisfaction among employers.
