Park Satisfaction Survey

Company overview

Lianshi Lake Wetland Park is located in Beijing, established in August 2008 with an investment of 467 million RMB. After three years of construction, the park was completed in October 2011. The total area of the park is 226 hectares, including 102 hectares of water surface, 110 hectares of green space, and 14 hectares of supporting infrastructure. The park's design concept integrates four key elements—mountains, water, lotus, and stones—aiming to preserve and inherit the water diversion, flood control, and water management cultures of the Yongding River. Lianshi Lake Wetland Park features one main scenic area and eight themed spots, showcasing a fresh and vibrant natural landscape with distinct cultural charm, attracting a large number of visitors.

Research background

To further enhance the overall visitor experience, Lianshi Lake Wetland Park commissioned CEIDEA Research to conduct a satisfaction survey. By understanding visitor needs and feedback, the park can identify operational and management shortcomings, optimize service quality, and improve overall visitor satisfaction. To ensure the scientific rigor and representativeness of the findings, Lianshi Lake Wetland Park intends to develop a scientifically sound satisfaction evaluation framework and conduct offline interviews with 1,000 visitors to collect comprehensive data, providing a solid basis for future improvements and decision-making.

Research scope

In April 2020, CEIDEA Research was commissioned by Lianshi Lake Wetland Park to conduct a visitor satisfaction survey. The primary objective of this study was to collect 1,000 visitor feedback through offline interviews and establish a scientific satisfaction evaluation framework. The key research areas included: 1) Visitor satisfaction with landscape design—assessing visitors' perceptions of the park's layout, greenery quality, and water body management; 2) Visitor satisfaction with service quality—evaluating experiences with park staff, facility maintenance, and tour guide services; 3) Visitor evaluation of transportation facilities and convenience—assessing satisfaction with internal transportation, parking, and entrance/exit facilities; 4) Visitor feedback on park culture and educational functions—assessing the effectiveness of cultural preservation and public education functions; 5) Overall visitor experience satisfaction—understanding visitors' overall impressions, including comfort, recreational facilities, and rest areas. Through comprehensive analysis of these dimensions, CEIDEA Research will provide Lianshi Lake Wetland Park with detailed satisfaction data to support future operational improvements.

Expected outcomes

As a result of this study, Lianshi Lake Wetland Park will receive comprehensive data and an in-depth analysis report on visitor satisfaction, enabling the park to identify gaps and shortcomings in its services. The report will provide the following support: 1) Enhancing operational management—by analyzing visitor feedback, the park will optimize service processes and improve visitor satisfaction; 2) Identifying service gaps—detecting issues in the visitor experience to enable targeted improvements; 3) Uncovering service weaknesses—offering specific improvement directions, such as adding facilities, refining tour guidance, and enhancing cultural and educational functions. Ultimately, the research findings will help Lianshi Lake Wetland Park improve overall service quality and visitor experience, further solidifying its position as a cultural and recreational destination, and providing strong support for its long-term development.
