Company overview

Fodi Battery Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of BYD Group, specializing in energy storage product R&D and energy storage technical services. Leveraging its parent company's strong technological and industrial chain resources in new energy vehicles and battery manufacturing, the company continues to focus on core technologies including lithium-ion batteries, energy storage systems, power systems, and silicon-iron modules. It actively expands into the markets for second-life and recycled battery applications, offering an end-to-end solution from R&D to production and sales. Fodi Battery provides intelligent, systemized, and low-carbon energy storage services to global customers. Its products are widely applied in industrial energy storage, grid load balancing, data center backup power, and renewable energy integration, maintaining stable customer bases across China and multiple countries and regions worldwide.

Research background

With the intensification of global competition in the energy storage industry and the continuous diversification of customer demands, Fodi Battery has come to recognize that, beyond product technological innovation, service quality and customer satisfaction have become critical dimensions of competitive advantage. The core background of this study stems from dual imperatives related to brand management and customer relationship management. Through systematic research, the survey aims to comprehensively understand global customers' satisfaction levels regarding Fodi Battery's energy storage products and services, as well as the issues and suggestions encountered during actual usage, identifying key improvement opportunities. Currently, the company serves a wide geographic base with significant cultural differences and varied service expectations, making it imperative to establish a scientific, actionable customer feedback mechanism to enhance overall customer experience and support continuous product and service optimization.

Research scope

In June 2022, CEIDEA Research was commissioned by Fodi Battery Co., Ltd. to conduct a dedicated global customer satisfaction study. The survey covered 68 existing clients from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, the Netherlands, and Singapore, spanning all stages of the order lifecycle—including pre-order, order placement, delivery, and post-delivery. The questionnaire was distributed through bilingual (Chinese and English) formats via email, website links, and QR codes. CEIDEA Research conducted both qualitative and quantitative analysis of the collected responses. This study focused on customers' satisfaction with Fodi Battery's product design, quality, usage performance, pricing, and functional alignment. It also conducted in-depth analysis of service quality, response efficiency, and problem resolution capabilities across various stages—pre-sales, sales, delivery, logistics, and after-sales. Additionally, the questionnaire included a comparative evaluation of customer experiences against competing brands, assessing overall satisfaction across dimensions such as quality, functionality, service, cultural fit, and pricing. Beyond overall satisfaction metrics, the study also examined structural differences in satisfaction patterns across countries and regions, enabling the company to systematically identify weak points and improvement directions.

Expected outcomes

This study is expected to provide Fodi Battery with systematic data support for its global brand positioning and customer management strategies. By analyzing customer satisfaction and pain points across product and service touchpoints, the company will accurately identify core needs and sensitive factors related to quality, functionality, and service responsiveness across different countries and regions, enabling targeted optimization of product development and service processes, and establishing internal feedback loops. The findings will also support comparative analysis against competitors, helping the company identify its differentiating strengths and weaknesses, thereby enhancing customer loyalty and experience management capabilities. Ultimately, the study aims to strengthen customer satisfaction and brand value in the global energy storage market, driving cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and sustainable development goals.
