Research background
As competition within the hotel industry intensifies, employee stability, service consciousness, and team cohesion directly impact customer satisfaction and operational performance. To gain a deeper understanding of employees' real needs and perceptions regarding the current state of the organization, Guangzhou Baiyun Wanda Hilton Hotel has commissioned a systematic employee satisfaction survey. The study aims to identify potential management issues and provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to improve human resource management, stimulate employee engagement, and strengthen team cohesion.
Research scope
In March 2012, CEIDEA Research was commissioned by Guangzhou Baiyun Wanda Hilton Hotel to conduct a satisfaction survey involving approximately 400 employees across 12 departments, including key operational units such as the Food & Beverage Department, Front Desk Department, Sales/PR Department, Finance Department, and Housekeeping Department. The survey was conducted through structured questionnaires, collecting feedback on employees' satisfaction and opinions regarding various aspects including compensation and benefits, career development, training support, management systems, work environment, team culture, and leadership styles. Data were further categorized by job position to ensure targeted and practical analysis.
Expected outcomes
Through this employee satisfaction survey, hotel management will gain a comprehensive understanding of employees' work experiences and key concerns across departments, identifying critical issues within existing management processes. The findings will support the optimization of talent incentive and retention mechanisms, enhance management efficiency and interdepartmental coordination, strengthen employee sense of belonging and cultural alignment, and provide scientific support for building a high-performing, professional, and dynamic operational team—ultimately driving improvements in overall service quality and customer satisfaction.
