User Satisfaction Study

Company overview

Fengshen Commercial Vehicle Engine Plant is a subsidiary of Dongfeng Automotive and one of the core manufacturing bases for commercial vehicle power systems in China. In recent years, the plant has faced a dual challenge of rapid market growth and intense competition in the commercial vehicle engine sector. The company has come to realize that relying solely on product performance is no longer sufficient to maintain a competitive edge; high-quality after-sales service and brand image building have become increasingly critical in fostering user loyalty.

Research background

As commercial vehicle end-users' demands for engine performance, reliability, and service experience continue to rise, market competition has intensified. Under Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle's 'Engine + Service + Brand' strategy, a deeper understanding of users' authentic perceptions and needs across the three key dimensions—brand, product, and service—is essential. Building upon previous user satisfaction research findings, this study aims to refine its analytical dimensions and uncover more insightful user feedback, which forms the core motivation for the current research.

Research scope

In July 2017, CEIDEA Research was commissioned by the Fengshen Commercial Vehicle Engine Plant to conduct a user satisfaction and needs assessment among target end-users. The study employed a structured questionnaire combined with in-depth interviews, covering three key areas: Brand awareness and image evaluation, product performance and usage experience, and service system and customer support perception. The analysis will focus on satisfaction trends, pain points, and potential improvement directions.

Expected outcomes

The research report will conduct a deep-dive analysis of key factors influencing user brand loyalty, product experience, and service expectations, identifying primary pain points and improvement requests. Based on these findings, targeted recommendations will be provided, including optimized brand promotion strategies, product iteration directions, and suggestions for improving service processes and systems. These recommendations aim to strengthen user retention, enhance the overall competitiveness of products and services, and achieve mutual growth in both brand value and market performance.
