The company focuses on technological innovation in desktop 3D printing equipment, delivering stable performance and high value for money. Its products are widely distributed globally and have established itself as one of the leading global brands in the desktop 3D printing sector.

Research background

As 3D printing technology continues to mature and the consumer market expands, Zongwei Cube aims to drive brand transformation through digitalization and community-based approaches. The company plans to launch a community platform integrating model design, printing experience sharing, cloud services, and post-sales interaction. By optimizing the 3D printing workflow and enhancing user experience, Zongwei Cube intends to build long-term user relationships, thereby driving product innovation and market expansion. To better understand user needs and define the direction for platform development, Zongwei Cube commissioned CEIDEA Research to conduct this study in November 2021.

Research scope

CEIDEA Research primarily employed in-depth interviews as the research methodology, targeting current and potential users, model designers, and community platform operations managers. The study explored user habits in product usage, demand for community features, the role of cloud services in supporting printing workflows, the appeal of content platforms for 3D models, and user willingness to pay. Drawing on operational experiences and user behavior data from existing platforms in the industry, the research comprehensively evaluates the market viability and competitive landscape for Zongwei Cube to establish a 3D printing community platform.

Expected outcomes

This study will provide Zongwei Cube with in-depth insights into user behavior, preferences, and motivations for platform usage, identifying the core value propositions of the community platform. The findings will serve as data-driven input for product design and service development. Additionally, the research will conduct comparative analysis of existing community platforms in the industry, helping Zongwei Cube establish a differentiated positioning and operational strategy, accelerating its transition from hardware manufacturing to a user-centric, integrated service platform.
