Market Entry Research for Monitor Stands

Company overview

Lege Vision Technology Co., Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of flat-panel display stands in China, specializing in the R&D and production of intelligent office hardware products related to ergonomics. The company has long been committed to improving the comfort and health of computer users in office settings. Its product portfolio includes LCD monitor stands, standing desks, TV stands, and mobile workstations. With exports to multiple countries and regions across Europe, North America, and Asia, Lege Vision possesses strong international market competitiveness and is a key player in both domestic and international ergonomic stand equipment markets.

Research background

With the increasing adoption of office computers, especially among white-collar professionals and dedicated computer users who spend prolonged periods working on computers, occupational health issues such as cervical, shoulder, and lower back pain have become increasingly prevalent. Lege Vision has developed an air-spring-based LCD monitor stand designed to allow personalized monitor positioning through adjustable mechanical structures, thereby reducing physical fatigue and enhancing overall office and usage experiences. Prior to market launch, the company seeks to gain a deeper understanding of consumers' awareness, acceptance, and actual usage feedback regarding monitor stand products, in order to refine product positioning and promotional strategies.

Research scope

In May 2013, CEIDEA Research was commissioned by Lege Vision to conduct a market study targeting heavy computer users in four representative cities: Guangzhou, Beijing, Chengdu, and Nanjing. The primary research participants were office professionals and experienced computer users. The study employed structured in-depth interviews and focus group discussions. During the research process, on-site product demonstrations and usage trials were conducted to directly observe users' behaviors and experiences, and to deeply explore their opinions on product design, functionality, comfort, installation convenience, and areas for potential improvement. Additionally, consumer preferences and acceptance levels regarding price, brand, and purchasing channels were evaluated.

Expected outcomes

The findings from this research will provide systematic data and strategic recommendations to support Lege Vision's new generation LCD monitor stand in terms of consumer segmentation, brand positioning, pricing strategy, and market promotion direction prior to product launch. By analyzing the needs and preferences of target users, the company will be able to accurately identify product differentiators, develop differentiated competitive strategies, and enhance market acceptance and competitiveness of its products.
