Strategic Positioning Research for Agrarian and Pastoral Integration in Erdos

Company overview

Wanrong Investment Group Co., Ltd. is headquartered in the Tieshui Industrial Park, Erdos City, Inner Mongolia. It is a diversified private enterprise group operating across multiple sectors, including real estate development, building materials production, catering services, investment management, and construction engineering. Leveraging its strong capital base and regional resource integration capabilities, the Wanrong Group actively participates in local economic development and is gradually expanding its operations from traditional industries into modern agriculture and pastoralism, exploring forward-looking business development pathways to establish new strategic growth points during its transformation.

Research background

Erdos City, as a key pastoral and agricultural base in Inner Mongolia, boasts abundant grassland resources and excellent livestock-rearing conditions, providing a natural advantage for the development of modern meat processing industries. However, due to the lack of systematic integration and professional brand management, the local meat industry remains in a state of unstructured, low-efficiency operations, with low levels of standardization, branding, and marketization. As a result, it lacks cohesive competitive strength. Wanrong Group aims to leverage its resource advantages and market-oriented approach to promote the integration and upgrading of Erdos' meat industry, transitioning from a resource-based to a market-driven model.

Research scope

In June 2016, CEIDEA Research was commissioned by Wanrong Investment Group to conduct an in-depth investigation into the meat industry in the Erdos region, focusing on the current state and integration potential of the entire meat value chain. The research covered various aspects including pasture construction models, livestock breeding technologies, meat processing techniques, cold chain logistics infrastructure, and mechanisms for cross-sectoral collaboration within the supply chain. Additionally, the study reviewed national and regional policy support pathways, evaluating the driving effects of policy direction on industry development. On the market side, the research team conducted questionnaires and interviews with end consumers, retailers, and distributors to systematically analyze consumer habits, product preferences, price tolerance, brand awareness, primary distribution channels, and trends in market share. It also identified key competitors at both national and regional levels, analyzing their product strategies and market positioning.

Expected outcomes

This study will provide Wanrong Group with a comprehensive analysis report on the current state, market potential, and integration pathways of the meat industry in the Erdos region, clearly identifying market entry points, differentiated competitive opportunities, and feasible brand positioning strategies. The research findings will offer quantifiable data and strategic recommendations for the company's product development, supply chain layout, brand building, and sales network construction. These insights will help Wanrong Group establish a sustainable, high-value competitive advantage within the regional pastoral and agricultural sector, and drive the Erdos meat industry toward an era of concentration, branding, and modernization.
