Market Entry Research for Intelligent Medical Cleaning Products

Company overview

BOE Technology Group Corporation was founded in April 1993 and is China's leading provider of display technologies, products, and solutions, and the only domestic company with comprehensive mastery of TFT-LCD core technologies and full coverage across all sizes of electronic product applications. BOE has operations in liquid crystal display, OLED, sensors, smart systems, and health services, with its sales network extending across major markets in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. It ranks among the top in the global flat-panel display industry for annual new patent filings and holds a top-five position in global shipments, making it a key technology-driven enterprise in the domestic display sector.

Research background

In the context of an accelerating aging society, the number of individuals with paralysis due to chronic diseases or natural aging is increasing, leading to a growing demand for long-term care. BOE intends to extend its technological capabilities into the medical auxiliary product sector, exploring market potential in personal hygiene and bodily cleansing assistance products. Given the significant differences in acceptance, adaptability, and actual usage needs between B2B (e.g., elderly care facilities, rehabilitation hospitals) and B2C (e.g., patient households) segments, BOE requires pre-launch market research to gather diverse stakeholder input and scientifically assess the feasibility and direction of market entry.

Research scope

Recently, CEIDEA Research has been commissioned by BOE Technology Group to conduct a specialized market study on the acceptability and user feedback of personal hygiene and bodily cleansing medical auxiliary products in end-market settings. The study covers five target groups: family members of patients, caregivers, management personnel from elderly care facilities, nursing staff from rehabilitation hospitals, and medical product distributors. Data will be collected on key aspects including personal care convenience, product functionality, purchase intent, price acceptance, preferred distribution channels, and improvement suggestions. The research combines qualitative in-depth interviews with quantitative surveys. For B2B segments, emphasis will be placed on institutional procurement criteria, bulk demand scenarios, and post-sales service expectations. For B2C segments, focus will be on users' daily care experiences and purchase decision factors.

Expected outcomes

This research will provide BOE with comprehensive data and market insights, fully illustrating the real-world adaptability, barriers to adoption, and differences in value perception of personal and bodily cleansing medical auxiliary products in actual care settings. The report will offer systematic recommendations on market entry challenges, product feature optimization, pricing strategy, and channel expansion, enabling the company to accurately identify product implementation pathways and establish differentiated marketing strategies for both B2B and B2C markets. These findings will serve as a scientific and forward-looking basis for BOE's expansion into the health and medical auxiliary product line.
