(VPL) Market Entry Research for Jexin Enjoy Package

Case Details

Company Overview Jexin China is a leading consumer financial services provider in China, operating under PPF, the largest international financial investment group in the Middle East and Eastern Europe. It is China's first and currently only foreign-owned, licensed consumer finance company. As an institution approved by the CBIRC, Jexin is committed to delivering safe and responsible financial services to Chinese consumers, while continuously contributing to national economic development and improving residents' living standards. Research Background Following the regulatory crackdown on internet finance by the CBIRC in 2020, the financial regulatory environment has gradually become more standardized. Traditional financial institutions and internet-based finance companies are now exploring more sustainable development paths. To respond to evolving market conditions and expand their service boundaries, Jexin Finance is not only reinforcing its competitive edge in existing product offerings but also planning to launch a VPL (Emergency Borrowing Limit) product targeted at individuals who were denied loan applications. This product aims to better serve diverse consumer needs across different segments. Therefore, the company urgently requires market research to provide a solid foundation for product development, optimization, and subsequent marketing strategies. Research Scope In August 2021, CEIDEA Research was commissioned by Jexin Finance to conduct a focused market study on the VPL product. The research centered on consumers' awareness and acceptance of VPL products, actual consumption needs, key considerations, and their perceptions and experiences with similar products. Using a combined approach of qualitative interviews and quantitative surveys, the study aimed to deeply understand consumers' motivations for using emergency borrowing products, their preferences, and potential pain points, and to evaluate the market opportunities and growth potential of the VPL product. Expected Outcomes Through this research, Jexin will gain a comprehensive understanding of the target users' needs and market potential for VPL products, clearly define directions for product feature optimization and differentiation, and provide strategic support for advertising and media placement. The final results will help Jexin refine its product structure, build a differentiated competitive advantage, and successfully lead the next wave of upgrades in consumer finance product offerings.
