Pricing Research on Potential Service Providers for Value-Added Services

Case Details

Company Overview The Shenzhen Branch of Ping An Property and Casualty Insurance Co., Ltd. was established on September 6, 1988, and is the first branch established by Ping An Group. Leveraging the group's strong integrated financial advantages, the branch provides clients with comprehensive insurance services covering auto insurance, property insurance, and accidental injury insurance. Over the years, the Shenzhen Branch has achieved sustained and healthy business growth, built a solid market reputation, and established a stable and reliable brand image, making it one of the preferred insurance brands among customers.

Research background

To more effectively grasp market conditions for value-added services, establish benchmarking reference points for service procurement pricing among peers, and identify additional high-quality potential service providers to enrich and enhance its supplier ecosystem, the Shenzhen Branch of Ping An Property and Casualty Insurance Co., Ltd. commissioned CEIDEA Research to conduct a specialized study in October 2022. Meanwhile, Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance aims to gain a deeper understanding of actual challenges and cooperation needs faced by merchants on the Ping An Good Driver APP platform during their partnership processes, in order to optimize the platform's operational mechanisms and cooperation models, and improve overall service experience and partnership satisfaction.

Research scope

This study covers six primary value-added service categories: no-scratch auto body repair, front windscreen glass repair, high-speed rail and airport shuttle services, ride-sharing services, claims handling services, and roadside assistance services, as well as peer-reviewed value-added service enterprises and merchants already operating on the Ping An Good Driver APP platform. The research employs in-depth qualitative interviews with key management personnel from potential service providers. The focus areas include current market procurement pricing for each service, key factors influencing price formation, supply capacity assessments, current industry collaboration practices, and expectations and recommendations regarding cooperation mechanisms with Ping An. The study also delves into merchants' actual experiences and feedback during operations, identifying key pain points that affect cooperation willingness and efficiency.

Expected outcomes

This research will provide the Shenzhen Branch of Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance with a systematic analysis of pricing information and influencing factors for various value-added services, offering data support for subsequent negotiations and cooperation with suppliers. Additionally, the findings will help expand the pool of high-quality service providers, optimize the merchant cooperation model on the Ping An Good Driver APP, improve platform service levels and operational efficiency, and further enhance customer experience and market competitiveness.
