Research on Professional Talent Cultivation and Competency Requirements in Inclusive Finance

Company overview

Guo Tainan Education and Technology Co., Ltd. is a nationally recognized high-tech enterprise specializing in providing comprehensive solutions for education and investment sectors. As a leading high-tech enterprise prioritized by the Shenzhen Municipal Government, Guo Tainan consistently adheres to the mission of "promoting educational reform and innovation, and restoring education to its humanistic essence," focusing on the systematic development and practical promotion of educational informatization and intelligence. The company's business operations span education software, virtual simulation platforms, educational big data, and intelligent teaching systems, serving clients across universities, vocational schools, and industry institutions nationwide.

Research background

Inclusive finance, as a key driver of social and economic equity and inclusive growth, is emerging as a new trend in vocational education for financial services. However, due to factors such as policy direction, technical barriers, and the complexity of service demographics, vocational institutions currently face challenges including insufficient awareness, lack of teaching resources, and unclear talent development directions in inclusive finance program construction. To deepen the integration between vocational education and the inclusive finance industry, Guo Tainan's Financial Business Division urgently requires a professional and systematic research initiative to provide data-driven insights and strategic guidance for future product development and service delivery.

Research scope

In November 2017, CEIDEA Research was commissioned by Guo Tainan Education and Technology Co., Ltd. to conduct an inclusive finance industry study across four major cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Chengdu. This research employed a multi-method approach, combining in-depth qualitative interviews with senior management and frontline personnel, along with desk research and web data mining techniques. The study systematically analyzed the development trends, representative application scenarios, business challenges, technological advancements, and policy environments within the inclusive finance sector. It specifically focused on understanding actual talent demands, job competency models, talent shortages, and expectations for industry-academia collaboration in inclusive finance. By comparing the development levels across the four cities, the study identifies gaps between current vocational education in curriculum design, teaching content, and skill development and actual industry requirements.

Expected outcomes

The final report will provide authoritative data and strategic insights for Guo Tainan's inclusive finance program development. Through this research, the study will clarify the positioning and growth potential of inclusive finance within the vocational education system, proposing a tiered, modular talent cultivation strategy to guide curriculum design, faculty development, and teaching practice. Additionally, the report will establish a "job-oriented, competency-advancing" talent development pathway, ensuring precise alignment between educational offerings and enterprise needs, thereby enhancing the quality of talent training and delivering more practical and forward-looking professionals to the industry.
