Company overview

The Jiujiang Innovation and Technology Association is a representative technology-oriented social organization in Jiujiang Town, Foshan City, dedicated to providing a platform for exchange, services, and resource connectivity for innovative technology enterprises within the region. The association actively participates in the identification and cultivation of high-tech enterprises, aiming to assist local government in promoting technological upgrading and fostering technological progress and innovation-driven transformation, serving as a vital bridge between enterprises and government.

Research background

Under the national 'New Infrastructure' (new infrastructure) strategy, 5G technology is widely regarded as a key driver for enterprise digital transformation and smart manufacturing. To understand the current status and future needs of local technology enterprises in 5G applications, and to enhance the accuracy and foresight of the association's services, the Jiujiang Innovation and Technology Association plans to conduct a targeted survey among its member enterprises. Through this survey, the association aims to gain a clearer understanding of enterprises' awareness levels, application intentions, and practical challenges regarding 5G technology, thereby improving the effectiveness of service resource allocation and support.

Research scope

In June 2020, CEIDEA Research was commissioned by the Jiujiang Innovation and Technology Association to conduct a survey among member enterprises and related affiliated companies. Using in-depth interviews, the study systematically explored the pain points and challenges faced by enterprises in operations and development, with particular focus on their envisioned applications and specific needs for 5G technology in areas such as production manufacturing, product R&D, and market expansion. The survey also collected information on enterprises' conditions regarding technology integration, talent acquisition, policy support, and equipment procurement, evaluating their readiness and urgency for 5G-enabled industrial upgrading. The study aims to comprehensively map enterprises' intentions and actual capabilities for transformation amid the new wave of technological advancement.

Expected outcomes

The findings of this survey will provide the Jiujiang Innovation and Technology Association with effective insights into the technical needs and development bottlenecks of its member enterprises, enabling more targeted services in future resource allocation, policy interpretation, and technological guidance. Additionally, the research results will serve as practical data references for government initiatives to promote 5G industry development and formulate industrial support policies, effectively advancing high-quality development of technology enterprises in the Jiujiang region.
