Company overview
Zhongshan Education Technology Co., Ltd. was established on December 30, 2016. It is a state-owned-controlled enterprise strategically cultivated by Zhongshan City under the backdrop of educational internationalization, aiming to build a high-standard education platform integrating "education + industry," "education + capital," and "education + international cooperation." The company focuses on the integration of modern vocational education and international education, actively responding to the national strategies of "industrial-educational integration" and "educational modernization." Through continuous efforts in industry-education collaboration, vocational education internationalization, and innovative primary and secondary education, the company strives to become a leader and practitioner of educational reform in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Research background
With the accelerated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the growing demand from middle-class families for high-quality educational resources, international and bilingual elite education has seen rapid growth across the Pearl River Delta region. Zhongshan Education Technology Co., Ltd. plans to establish an international bilingual elite school in Zhongshan or Zhuhai. A scientific assessment of differences between the two cities—particularly in operational conditions, market demand, policy environments, and competitive landscapes—is required to determine the optimal location and school scale, ensuring maximum investment returns and meeting regional educational needs.
Research scope
In June 2017, CEIDEA Research was commissioned by Zhongshan Education Technology Co., Ltd. to conduct an in-depth study on the site selection and scale design for an international bilingual school. The research was conducted across three dimensions: first, at the macro level, analyzing the current development status, policy support, and the impact of population and economic structures on educational demand in the Pearl River Delta and target cities; second, a comprehensive analysis of competitors, including detailed collection of information on existing international schools in the target cities—such as teaching models, curricula, tuition fees, faculty composition, and enrollment trends; and third, micro-level consumer research, involving questionnaire surveys of parents of middle and primary school students in both Zhongshan and Zhuhai to explore their key decision factors regarding children's academic planning, acceptance of international education, course preferences, faculty expectations, and price tolerance.
Expected outcomes
The research findings will provide clear data support and strategic guidance for Zhongshan Education Technology Co., Ltd. in key areas such as city selection, site planning, school scale, curriculum design, pricing structure, and operational strategies. By conducting in-depth analysis of regional policy advantages, target household expectations, and competitive dynamics, the report will identify which city offers a more favorable ecosystem for international education, forecast market capacity, and provide scientifically grounded recommendations on feasible school scale and differentiated positioning, enabling the project to achieve precise market penetration and stable implementation amid intense competition.
