Market Entry Research for a New-Generation Chrysanthemum Tea Product

Company overview

Guangdong Daitu Investment Co., Ltd. was established on July 10, 2013, with a registered capital of 10,080,000 RMB. The company is headquartered at Linjiang Avenue, Tianhe District, Guangzhou, and operates as a specialized investment firm focusing on self-funded investment, investment management, investment consulting, and asset management. Leveraging Guangzhou's strategic location as a key economic hub in South China, the company has actively expanded its investment portfolio across consumer goods, healthcare, and emerging agriculture sectors, offering end-to-end services from capital support to management enhancement.

Research background

As health-conscious consumption continues to deepen, chrysanthemum tea—traditional Chinese herbal beverage—has maintained stable market demand over the years and is gradually gaining cultural and functional recognition among younger consumer groups. In this context, Guangdong Daitu Investment intends to launch a new chrysanthemum tea product and seeks to conduct a scientific market assessment prior to product launch. The study aims to evaluate the market environment, consumer demand, and investment feasibility, thereby reducing investment risk and refining the product entry strategy

Research scope

In March 2017, CEIDEA Research was commissioned by Guangdong Daitu Investment to conduct a 'Feasibility Study for Market Entry of a New Chrysanthemum Tea Product.' The research comprises two dimensions: macro-level analysis focuses on the current development status, consumption trends, competitive landscape, and market potential of the chrysanthemum tea industry in China, systematically analyzing its competitive advantages and future risks within the functional beverage market; micro-level analysis involves a survey of 500 valid consumer questionnaires to gain in-depth insights into consumers' drinking frequency, functional expectations, taste preferences, packaging perceptions, purchasing channels, and price tolerance. The study also evaluates consumer receptiveness and purchase intent toward the new product. The questionnaire sample includes participants across various age groups and occupational backgrounds to ensure broad representation and data validity.

Expected outcomes

This research will provide Guangdong Daitu Investment with a comprehensive understanding of the current competitive dynamics and evolving consumer trends in the chrysanthemum tea market, clearly identifying core consumer concerns and behavioral characteristics. It will effectively assess the market reception and commercial potential of the new chrysanthemum tea product. The final research findings will directly support the development of the product's market entry strategy, offering data-driven recommendations for product positioning, packaging design, marketing promotion, and channel selection, and helping the investment entity optimize its investment structure and enhance project success rates
