As an internationally oriented private school supported by a corporate entity, Zhongxin School must balance maintaining educational quality and international competitiveness while optimizing its tuition structure and resource allocation to better meet the actual needs and payment capabilities of its core parent group. To achieve scientifically informed tuition adjustments without compromising educational standards, Zhongxin School has commissioned a third-party research firm to conduct a comprehensive survey to fully understand parents' tuition affordability, price sensitivity, and expectations for teaching and service offerings
Research scope
In September 2015, CEIDEA Research was commissioned by Zhongxin School to conduct a targeted questionnaire survey among parents of currently enrolled students, with particular focus on families with overseas returnee backgrounds. This study centered on three core issues: first, parents' understanding and acceptance of the current tuition model—including tuition composition, frequency of price increases, and payment methods; second, their actual tuition affordability and price sensitivity, including acceptable ranges across different academic stages; and third, their overall expectations regarding teaching quality, curriculum structure, faculty competence, extracurricular activities, and academic guidance. By collecting quantitative data and qualitative suggestions, the study aims to identify value perception differences among various parent groups regarding tuition and teaching services
Expected outcomes
This research will provide Zhongxin School with authentic and comprehensive parental feedback, identifying potential burdens and improvement opportunities within the current tuition structure, and clearly defining acceptable tuition ranges across different income and background parent groups. The findings will serve as a data foundation for scientifically adjusting tuition structures. Additionally, by analyzing parental feedback on teaching quality and service content, the school can more accurately prioritize teaching resource allocation, refine course design, and enhance value-added services to improve overall satisfaction and parental loyalty. Ultimately, the research outcomes will help Zhongxin School achieve a balanced improvement in both its pricing model and teaching quality, strengthening its long-term development foundation and market competitiveness
