Company overview

The Beijing Branch of Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance Co., Ltd. is a key institution established by Ping An Insurance Group in Beijing. Its primary business activities include various types of property insurance, liability insurance, credit insurance, short-term health and accident insurance, and related reinsurance and insurance agency services. The company provides one-stop, diversified insurance solutions for both corporate and individual clients, covering areas such as vehicle insurance, travel insurance, and household property insurance, and is one of the leading and influential players in Beijing's insurance market.

Research background

In recent years, the property insurance industry has faced challenges such as service homogenization, low customer satisfaction, and declining renewal rates. Consumers are increasingly demanding higher standards in claims efficiency, service transparency, and product coverage. Amid intense market competition, the Beijing Branch of Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance seeks to gain deeper insights into customers' risk awareness and service needs through professional research. This will enable the company to optimize product design and service systems, enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty, and achieve sustainable business growth.

Research scope

In May 2016, CEIDEA Research was commissioned by the Beijing Branch of Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance to conduct this project. The study employed a mixed-method approach combining quantitative questionnaires and qualitative in-depth interviews, targeting both existing and potential customers of Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance in Beijing. The research focused on systematically analyzing customers' daily risk exposure, actual demand for property insurance products, satisfaction with current insurance offerings, demands for product innovation, and interest in value-added services such as emergency assistance, property valuation, and dedicated customer service, while also identifying differences in needs across various customer segments.

Expected outcomes

The research report will systematically map the profiles of target property insurance users based on dimensions such as risk perception, product preference, and service experience pain points, and identify key factors influencing customer renewal and conversion. Based on the research findings, CEIDEA Research will provide recommendations to the Beijing Branch of Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance on product improvements and innovations, differentiated value-added service designs, and strategies to enhance customer loyalty. Ultimately, the company will establish a product and service system centered on customer needs, achieving dual improvements in customer satisfaction and business growth.
