Senfuo Technology holds a leading technical capability and industry position in electromagnetic environment assessment, electromagnetic pollution control, and environmental remediation equipment development.

Research background

With the continuous increase in urban power grid density and the rapid advancement of new infrastructure projects such as 5G, public concerns over health implications from electromagnetic radiation have grown steadily. Social discourse regarding electromagnetic safety has also intensified. To evaluate the potential impacts of power grid electromagnetic environments on residents' daily lives and to conduct social risk monitoring in accordance with government regulations, Senfuo Technology plans to collect primary public opinion data, providing a scientific basis for formulating electromagnetic environment management policies and optimizing environmental protection technical pathways. Therefore, a large-scale questionnaire survey is urgently needed to accurately reflect public awareness and attitudes.

Research scope

From March to June 2019, CEIDEA Research conducted a comprehensive social impact investigation on electromagnetic environment across Shenzhen under the commission of Senfuo Technology, completing a total of 2,000 valid questionnaires in two phases. The survey covered the public's understanding and awareness of electromagnetic radiation concepts, sources of electromagnetic radiation knowledge acquisition, perceived electromagnetic radiation levels in residential and office areas, and public attitudes and expectations regarding power grids, power equipment, and communication facilities as electromagnetic sources. Primary data were collected through structured questionnaires, ensuring representativeness across diverse demographic groups, resulting in a comprehensive and widely referenceable public feedback system.

Expected outcomes

This study will enable Senfuo Technology to fully understand Shenzhen residents' levels of awareness, attitudes, and primary concerns regarding electromagnetic radiation, assess the public's perceived risk and social sentiment related to power grid electromagnetic environments, and provide government regulatory authorities with early warning indicators. Additionally, the research findings will offer detailed data support and strategic guidance for Senfuo Technology in promoting its electromagnetic environmental monitoring equipment, conducting electromagnetic safety public education campaigns, and formulating electromagnetic environment governance strategies.
